Sakura Arch Foam Eraser - Slim Type - All Black

Excellent at erasing but acts like a noodle sometimes

I've always liked the arch foam erasers because of how efficient they are at erasing things. Definitely one of if not the best on the market because of how easily it erases hard pencil lines, leaving just the imprint of the pencil and nothing else. I haven't tried erasing it with anything other than HB so I can't really say if its good for sketching but I have a feeling that it can handle that. This eraser is also really good for traveling and compact pencil cases because of how it can easily slide into a small compartment. The one I got was quite soft and flexible and because of this, I really don't recommend using it without the hard case it comes with, otherwise, it'll just act like a flopping noodle. It also takes a bit of time to get used to the size and flexibility if you've never used thin erasers before. Sakura arch foam erasers are good in general so I highly suggest just getting the normal one (which can probably last longer) if you may find it difficult to get used to If you don't dig the green/white color scheme of the original eraser and you need the compact size of this eraser, get it. If you don't mind the green/white color scheme or just want a longer-lasting eraser in general, just stick to the original eraser

Doesn't live up to claims

This product was advertised to be very resistant to breaking / crumbling - I didn't find it to be so. Agree with the other user about the annoying paper case - but this is typical for most erasers. I found it to be a standard quality black eraser and quite hard.

Powerful Erasing - Questionable Longevity

As far as the eraser itself goes, this is an absolutely superb product. I've had better results erasing with the Sakura Arch Foam eraser than any other in my collection; past or present. And it's not even close. The practicalities of its use however, is where it really suffers. Specifically, the perforated holder quickly becomes loose and/or unusable. This results in either discarding it entirely (which speeds up the eraser crumbling/deterioration), or putting up with it slipping off, sliding around, or generally being annoying. In terms of results, this would be a solid five star product, but at the end of the day, that doesn't help much if it's a real pain to use. I'll still keep one in my kit, for emergencies when other erasers just can't cut it, but certainly not a go-to option for me I'm afraid.
