Pentel Orenz Nero Mechanical Pencil is the high-end version of the popular Pentel Orenz range. The name Nero is Italian for "black". It is as sleek and black as its name suggests with the body and grip a single piece resin and metal composite.
The Orenz mechanical pencil features an advanced Orenz mechanism, the lead doesn’t break during writing. The lead is protected by its retractable guide pipe which will not let the lead extend out of the guide pipe too far. This significantly reduces the risk of breaking leads. There is no need to worry about the guide pipe scratching off the paper due to its rounded-edge design.
There is also no reason to keep stopping and clicking the lead advance button. The lead advances automatically as you lift the tip from the page. The guide pipe will also become shorter as you write, thereby maintaining an optimal tip length. The guide pipe can be retracted once you've finished using the pencil.

Very satisfied with this item. The build is solid. The grip is comfortable and it writes so smooth.
AustraliaThe Orenz Nero, apart from looking uinque, has good balance and feels nice to hold. I got the 0.5 mm because it can also be used like a regular mechanical pencil, meaning you can click lead out the traditional way without any problems, and with such a good clicking sound, it's a shame to click only once to get the Nero started. The good thing about the automatic lead advance is that if you're in a hurry, then you don't have to click at all. I also like that the lead sleeve is retractable. That's about it. An excellent alternative, but without the automatic lead advance, is the Rotring Rapid Pro.

AustraliaI’ve been using mechanical pencils since the mid 80s and this by far is the best balanced pencil that l have ever owned. I’m now a convert to 0.5mm because of this pencil. Looks very cool too. Stealthy.
