Choosing the right binder for your needs
The key to selecting the right binder is choosing the correct ring size. When determining size, remember it is measured according to the ring size, not the binder spine’s width. The ring size you choose must be larger an inch (i.e. the standard measurement). The reason is, the rings must fit around the paper inside to close the folder. The number of pages your binder can hold depends on the ring size (measured in inches) and the ring style.
