Kuretake added the 12 new colours to their Gansai Tambi watercolour series. Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour palette features a wide range of traditional Japanese watercolours. It is designed for both professional artists and novices. Ideal for sketching, illustration, sumi-e, and more. Each watercolour block is in separated trays and can be removed from the palette individually. You can see their colour chart under every tray on the palette. The water-based paints are non-toxic.
This palette contains 12 colours: Indian Red (71), Lilac (13), Lime Green (59), Maroon (72), Natural Beige (11), and Rose Beige (12), Blue Gray Deep (68), Cherry Blossom Pink (14), Cobalt Blue (60), Gray (21), Greenish Yellow (48), and Horizon Blue (69).

Very good quality
Great value for money
The amount of paint you get for the price, tambi watercolours are a really great deal, and the 12 pan sets are a really good starting point for someone who wants to get into watercolour but might be turned off by the pricetag of other watercolour sets. Tambi watercolours are also SUPER pigmented; I usually have some water and a dish/pallette nearby to water my coulours down before using them - for that reason, they're fun to use for more experienced painters too? 4 stars only because I've found it incredibly hard to find a metal case/pan to carry them in (the cardboard container they come in is very lovely, but I'm pretty rough with mine and its really starting to show) and Kuretake doesn't seem to sell one. Also, while you can water down your colours, making a good wash can be a little more difficult imo, especially for bigger work areas. Absolutely highly reccomend otherwise
A watercolourist delight!
I bought this set to expand my collection of the Gansai Tambi palette. Rich pigment with every stroke. Easy to lay down. A little bit of paint goes a long way. These deliver, no matter the technique used. It is difficult to describe the paint itself however it is like a combination of watercolour and ink mixed together. Rich, luscious and they can be overlayed beautifully.
